SYMPTOMS

  • "Method Set" is not in the drop-down list in the Empower Run Samples window
  • No messages in the Message Center

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3

CAUSE

The system configuration does not match the instrument method included in the method set. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

To change the system configuration:

  1. Click on Empower > Configure the system.
  2. Click on Systems (in tree on the left).
  3. Highlight the system name.
  4. Right-click and choose System properties.
  5. Click on the Configuration tab.
  6. Change the configuration back to how the system was created, matching the method used.
  7. Save the system configuration.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In addition, if there are no instrument methods for the selected system configuration, create a new instrument method to match the current system configuration.
