SYMPTOMS

  • Agilent ELSD panel in Run Samples is dimmed (unavailable) 
  • No communication

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3
  • LAC/E FR3
  • ICF 3.1
  • Agilent 1260

CAUSE

Communication with ELSD is not established.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Remove the ELSD from the system configuration.
  2. Test Agilent 1260 without ELSD.
  3. If the 1260 system works, take the system offline.
  4. Configure the ELSD back into the system.
  5. Bring the system online.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The order of configuration has made a difference in several systems with an Agilent 7102A ELSD.
