Error "The chosen name is not acceptable to Oracle" when trying to copy a custom field from an SQT project - WKB8121

SYMPTOMS

• Error "The chosen name [name of custom field] is not acceptable to Oracle" when trying to copy over custom fields to a new project
• Custom fields from the same project copy over with a name that has no spaces
• Error is generated when copying over custom fields with spaces in the name 
• In message center: "ORA-02000: missing keyword"

CAUSE

Custom fields with spaces in the name cannot be copied into another project.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Create the custom field from scratch, using underscores instead of spaces.
