SYMPTOMS

• 7890 reports an error during injection with Empower: Vial Attributes not valid

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

• Agilent 7890 GC ICS V2.6

CAUSE

The injection volume in the samples table is set too high.

FIX or WORKAROUND

The maximum injection volume should not exceed 50% of the syringe volume.

If the injection volume exceeds 50%, install a larger syringe.

Define the correct syringe volume by clicking "Fr. Syringe" or "Bk. Syringe" in the Run Sample control panel.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When using the 7890 without the Headspace, create a separate 7890 system in Empower.
