How to view and run the installation log in Empower - WKB78872

Verify successful installations in the Empower environment.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower

PROCEDURE

1. Click Start. 
2. Select All Programs.
3. Select Empower.
4. Select Empower Installation Log.
5. The Empower.log file opens in Notepad.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The installation log records information about your Empower installations. You can read the log file to review your installation choices, the installation environment, and the status of the installation steps. In case of a partial or unsuccessful installation, review the installation log to check for errors. The “Installation success or error status” value appears at the end of the installation log. If the value displayed is 0, the installation was successful. If the value displayed is anything other than 0, record the value and contact Waters Technical Support.
