Error in Empower: Acquisition Finished; Problem Reading Data File - WKB78741

SYMPTOMS

• Random injection is missing data
• Error in Review window in Empower 3 FR3: "Acquisition Finished; Problem Reading Data File 

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Empower 2
• Empower 3 Personal
• Empower 3 Workgroup
• Empower 3 Enterprise

CAUSE

This is a known defect of Empower 3 FR3, and the issue was opened with Waters R&D (CRI-452)

FIX or WORKAROUND

• Upgrade to Empower 3 Feature Release 5 (FR5). The data can be recovered in Empower 3 FR5. Restore the project in Empower 3 FR5. Open the sample set in the Review window to recover the data.

If you can't upgrade to Feature Release 5 , then you can upgrade  to Empower 3 Feature Release 4 (FR4) Service Release 3 (SR3) Hot Fix 1 where the the defect has been fixed
