The only time you would need to recreate instrument methods is when you are switching from old Agilent ICS methods to ICF methods.
Otherwise, the method should transfer over, requiring only editing of any additional features added by the new ICF.

It is also recommended that all Agilent systems be recreated using the Pre-configuration Wizard in Empower after the Instrument Control Framework update.
