ANSWER
The design of restore projects was changed for newer versions. In batch mode, restoring moves to the next project if the previous project has an error. This prevents the batch from stopping due to an error. There is now just a quick pop-up when a project is deleted.
If you restore the projects one by one, the pop-up windows appear.
