Error with Empower and CTC PAL: An Error has Occurred in the script on this page. Line: X Char: Y Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'EditMethod'. Code: 0 - WKB69127

SYMPTOMS

• Error when opening Run Sample window or instrument method editor: "An Error has Occurred in the script on this page. Line: X Char: Y  Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'EditMethod'. Code: 0"

ENVIRONMENT

• CTC PAL Driver ICS 2.3.3
• Windows 10
• Empower 3 FR4 Enterprise

CAUSE

IE browser settings

FIX or WORKAROUND

In Internet Explorer options > Advanced tab > Browsing:

1. Select the check box for "disable script debugging for Internet Explorer and other".
2. Select the check box for "disable script debugging for other".
3. Clear the check box for "display notification about every script error".

In Internet Explorer options > Advanced tab > Security:

1. Select the check box for "Allow active content to run in files on My computer".
2. Select the check box for "Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid"

In Internet Explorer options > Security tab > Select Internet:

1. Set the security level to Medium.

In Internet Explorer options > Security tab > Select Local Intranet:

1. Set the security level to Low.

After making all the settings, restart the computer.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If procedure does not work . Try the following

Create the system in Empower by adding CTC first then 6890.

Then follow above procedure
