Altering an ICF-based Agilent LC instrument method in Empower results in an instrument failure error message - WKB65729

SYMPTOMS

• A newly created ICF based Agilent LC instrument method works properly.
• Editing the newly created ICF based Agilent LC instrument method results in an instrument failure message when using the method.
• Auxiliary Channels tab is blank.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• ICF Support v2.2
• ICF Support v3.0

CAUSE

This behavior is documented as CRI-330. The problem appears when an Agilent Universal Interface Box (UIB) is present in the system configuration.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Remove the Universal Interface Box (UIB) from the chromatographic system configuration.
