Error: Method download failed because module is offline! - WKB64654

SYMPTOMS

• The error message "Method download failed because module is offline!" appears in the Empower message center when running an Agilent LC
• Agilent LC instrument internal communication failures
• Agilent LC instrument module temporarily goes to Offline status

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• ICF 3.2 and above
• Agilent LC

CAUSE

Unknown. Raised CRI-1312

FIX or WORKAROUND

Agilent believes that the problem is minimized in ICF 2.6 Update 2 which is available to be installed on top of ICF Support Layer v3.2.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If customers are experiencing this problem in ICF 2.6 Update 2 or later versions, Field needs to supply the log files to assist with further investigation.
The logs we need are the InstrumentServer Logs and ICS logs. Refer WKB75196 on how to collect logs
