Empower - "user has already loaded xxx method.." error when opening a method- WKB6159

SYMPTOMS

• Receiving error message when trying to open report publisher with a specific report: "User System has already loaded 'Component Summary'. We recommend you save this Report Method to another name using the 'Save As' command before editing. Do you wish to continue?"

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Service Release 2

CAUSE

The report method was open in Empower.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close all instances of Preview Publisher and reopen the Report Method.
2. If no Preview Publisher windows are open, or if step 1 does not resolve the issue, follow these steps:

1. In the project window, go to the Methods tab.

2. Select the specific report method and right-click Method Properties.

3. The user with the report method open is listed next to "Being Edited By".

4. Click Clear.

5. Click OK. The report method should be released for use.
