ANSWER
An "invalid curve" has a slope of 0 between V0 and Vt, passes below a molecular weight of 1 between V0 and Vt (for a relative calibration curve), or passes below a hydrodynamic volume of 1e-4 (0.0001) between V0 and Vt (for a universal calibration curve).
