Create a chromatographic system for a system that is already in use with another Empower instance.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

PROCEDURE

1. Log in to the second Empower instance.
2. Go to Configure System.
3. Make sure the node that is connected to the system is in the list of nodes when you highlight "Nodes" on the left-hand side of the screen.
4. If the node is not in the list, click File > New > Node, and then choose the node.
5. If the node is already in the list, proceed with step 6.
6. Click File > New > Chromatographic System.
7. Choose the option "Connect to an existing system".
8. Click Next.
9. Choose the node that is connected to the system.
10. Click Next.
11. Choose the system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

You can have two Empower instances that share nodes and chromatographic systems. The first instance is used to create the systems. The second instance simply connects to them, as they already exist on the node.
