Instrument failure when setting up a Headspace injection on an Agilent GC using Empower - WKB45984

SYMPTOMS

• GC with Headspace was just qualified
• Instrument failure observed when trying to set up an injection
• No other errors are observed

ENVIRONMENT

• Agilent 7890 GC
• Agilent Headspace 7697A
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF) v3.0
• Empower

CAUSE

The GC configuration changed.

FIX or WORKAROUND

With ICF v3.0, you must scan and save the configuration of the GC when the configuration of the instrument changes.
