Empower 3 slow performance in a Citrix environment - WKB4412

SYMPTOMS

• Empower users notice slow performance after selecting a chromatographic system and getting a message saying "Checking System Usage"

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• 2 Citrix servers (no regular restart frequency)

CAUSE

An auxiliary process running on one of the Citrix servers is using excessive CPU resources.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. End the unnecessary auxiliary process seen in Windows Task Manager manually or by restarting the Citrix server.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Check for overload of traffic between Citrix servers and Empower database server.
