How do I change the x and y axes in an Empower calibration curve? - WKB3848

Article number: 3848

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Change the x and y axes in an Empower calibration curve.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower
  • Empower 2
  • Empower 3

PROCEDURE

  1. Open the processing method that you want to use to process your data.
  2. Click the Components tab.
  3. In the table, look to the right of the component's name and identify the "Y value" and "X value" columns.
  4. Click in the field to generate the drop-down menu.
  5. Select the value that you want for each axis.
  6. Save your processing method, and then process your data to generate a curve using the newly selected axes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The default value for the y axis is Area, and for the x axis it is Amount. These are the values that are used if a processing method is created, and these fields are not adjusted.

Note that each component may have its own values for these fields, thus creating very different curves from one component to the next.

  • The user may wish to swap X-axis and Y-axis, to get X-axis for Area and Y-axis for Amount.
  • Current fields do not allow Amount in Y-value and Area in X-value. This can be done by creating new custom fields. see - Change X_Y axis.pdf
