Recover log shows "Deleting Sample Set file". Does Empower delete files if there is no data when buffering occurs? - WKB32109

Article number: 32109

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3 Enterprise

ANSWER

No. Empower will state in the integrity report that the file is valid, even if there is no data. The only files it deletes are any temp files it uses.

"Deleting Sample Set file " appears in recover.log because everything on the LAC/E is supposed to be deleted when the sample set completes and is uploaded to the server after buffering. The last file to be updated is samplesetxxxx.dat., and then it is deleted.

No deletions are recorded on the LAC/E because that is part of normal operations, and the files are now located on the server.
