SYMPTOMS

• "BusLAC/E driver not loaded" in Empower node properties for BusLAC/E status
• Cannot communicate with IEEE instruments
• Empower 3 computer did not previously have IEEE instruments connected 

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 
• BusLAC/E

CAUSE

BusLAC/E driver is not loaded on the computer.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Load the BusLAC/E driver. See KCS 4389 for instructions.
2. If the BusLAC/E driver is loaded and there is still an issue, open the computer and reseat the BusLAC/E card.
