Article number: 29883
SYMPTOMS
- GC is not injecting desired amount
- Signal is about 25% lower than expected
ENVIRONMENT
-
Agilent 6890 GC with nanoliter adapter
CAUSE
The nanoliter adapter is not configured.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Confirm that you have a nanoliter adapter installed. A nanoliter adapter is installed if:
- There is a yellow tab behind the knob that tightens down the syringe plunger.
- The plastic syringe stop has six teeth.
- In the Run Samples window, select the syringe icon (or, from the Edit menu, select GC Sample Set Info).
- Select the "Use parameters to check injection volume" check box.
- Also, select the Nanoliter Adaptor box for the desired inlet, front or rear.
- Enter the syringe size and click OK.
- From the File menu, select Save Preferences.
The GC should now inject properly.
