Why does my intersample custom field not include the expected channels? - WKB271675

ANSWER

Here are some rules of intersample custom field (CF) formula syntax:

  1. When the label of the intersample description is empty, the CF formula references the current sample set line.

  2. When the injection of the intersample description is empty, the CF formula references the most recent result (but not the current result) that matches the intersample description. In this case, the label and the channel name must match.

  3. When the channel name is empty, the channel name of target results must match the channel name of the current result.

For example, for the following formula:

(S1.%..(Response)/S2.%..(Response))*(S2..(Value)/S1..(Value))

If the current result is the first S1 or S2 result in the result set, the CF using this formula will not contain a result. This formula produces a result only for those results that are generated after the initial S1 and S2 results. When an intersample syntax (label.inj.channel) does not indicate an injection number, when a channel is being processed, Empower is looking for the most recent result (i.e., already processed) that meets the label condition and is not the current result. It does not use the current channel in the calculation, even if the current channel matches the label.
