HS sample set altered by user shows "waiting for injection" - WKB260158

SYMPTOMS

• Sample set started in HS; user later alters the sequence and adds additional injection

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower, all versions
• ICF 3.1 and higher
• HS running with High throughput option

CAUSE

When a sample set is running with the High throughput option in the instrument method, altering the sample set and adding an additional injection is not supported.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Do not alter the HS sequence if running in high-throughput mode.
2. Use low-throughput mode if a sample must be altered while running HS.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When using HS in low-throughout mode, the run time of the sequence increases because the vial goes into the oven for equilibration only after completion of injection run time. In high-throughput mode, the vial goes into the oven for equilibration during injection run time.
