Agilent LC shows "Analysis aborted by another module" in message center - WKB245707

Article number: 245707

SYMPTOMS

  • Agilent LC error during injection start: "Analysis aborted by another module"
  • When stop monitoring Agilent LC 1260 controlled by Empower, the message "G1329B: DEAAC*****-Analysis aborted by another module" appears in the Message Center
  • Sample set is interrupted and error "Instrument Failure Agilent LC xxxxx: Analysis Aborted by Another Module" appears in Empower message center
  • When sample set line changes from Non-Inject Function, this message may appear

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3
  • Agilent ICFSL
  • Agilent LC

CAUSE

1) No appropriate Agilent plates are defined in Empower Run Samples for 1260 Series II or 1290 Series II.

2) Online system enters inject state and, after a few seconds, the system is offline. The system tries to connect again and fails. This timeout triggers this error.

3) A user has manually stopped a “Monitor Baseline” run.

4) An error has occurred on one or more modules of the LC instrument stack.
In this case, the informational abort messages are preceded by one or more dedicated error messages that indicate the root cause of the error (for example, leak error, out of position error, pressure error, vial error, temperature error).

5) If an Equilibrate function in a sample set method is run, this message can appear in the message center after the sample set starts and the Equilibrate run time completes.

6) If a separate sample set is created that contains an Equilibration function only, then this message can appear in the message center after the sample set starts and the Equilibrate run time completes.

FIX or WORKAROUND

To minimize the sample set interruption, update to the latest ICFSL.
