When opening the instrument method, the wrong methods for 2489 and 2695 are shown - WKB226739

SYMPTOMS
- Instrument method includes 2695 and 2489
- User opens instrument method in the Run Samples window via the Edit button
- If user opens one method and then another, the earlier method remains open and the method they want is not shown
- Example: One instrument method for 2489 has a wavelength set to 200 nm and sampling rate of 5. Another instrument method has a wavelength set to 310 nm and sampling rate of 10. When they open the first method with a wavelength of 200 nm and then proceed to open the 310 nm method, the method displayed is the first one opened, even though they have selected a new method.
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3
CAUSE
The W2489 ICS driver is passing the incorrect wavelength to Empower. Alliance has a built-in driver but 2489 has an ICS driver.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Ensure that the 2695 is not the first instrument in the system.
- Close and reopen the method.
