How to overlay spectra of different samples (without using Library Match) in a report from Empower - WKB223860

Article number: 223860

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Overlay spectra of different samples in a report.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3
  • PDA options

PROCEDURE

For details on how to add an extraction plot to the report method and how to display the spectra, see step 4 in the following KCS article:
https://support.waters.com/KB_Inf...power_3_report

  1. On the Overlay tab of the Extract Plot Properties window, select Overlay in Single Plot.
  2. Double-click in the blank area of the report page to open the Method Properties window and select "Summary All" for the Report Type on the "Method" tab.
  3. Save the report method.

* By the above operation, the spectra in the previewed result are overlaid. You can select multiple results to overlay and specify the report method to preview.
* There is no problem when the extraction time of the spectra are exactly the same as that of the standards and unknowns. But, if they are different, it is necessary to enter two extraction times.
In that case, the spectra of individual samples are extracted at the respective extraction times and overlaid.
For example, if you are reviewing two results, there are four spectra to be overlaid.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

You cannot overlay spectra of different samples in Match Plots or Spectra Index Plots.
