SYMPTOMS

• "Connection to chromatography system lost" error

• Empower 3 Enterprise

CAUSE

The acquisition computer or LAC/E32 went to sleep during run.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. On the acquisition computer or LAC/E32, navigate to the Windows Control Panel.
2. Click "System and Security".
3. Click "Power Options".
4. On the Power Options page, click "Change Plan Settings".
5. On the "Edit Plan Settings" page, change the following:
   1. Select "Never" from the "Turn off display" field.
   2. Select "Never" from the "Put the computer to sleep" field.
6. On the "Edit Plan Settings" page, select "Change Advanced Power Settings".
7. Edit the advanced power settings to match the following table:
