Table Properties like color, Font, Background of Report Publisher are changing when migrating from older version of Empower to new version of Empower - WKB208543
SYMPTOMS
- Copying report methods from of Empower 3 FR5 SR4 or its earlier Versions to Empower 3.6.0 & above, the Table Properties like color, font and the table heading row background color are changing.
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3 FR5 SR4 and earlier Versions of Empower 3
- Empower 3.6.0 & above
CAUSE
- There are some intentional changes which were unintentionally omitted from the documentation and this is applicable from Empower 3 FR5 SR4 version
- This has been done on Table Enhancement Visibility.
Default settings for table color preferences are now as follows: table backgrounds are light gray,
table grid lines are gray, selected table rows are dark gray, the text in the selected rows is black,
and non-editable cells are light gray. Tables from Report Publisher have transparent background
by default.
Note: With Empower 3 SR5, saved table color preferences are replaced with these new default
settings. Other table preferences do not change. Waters recommends that you revise the table
color preferences and set them as needed for your workflow.
See the Empower 3 SR5 release notes, page 23.
- The default font type, size and color have not changed. The issue is that the default font will be applied to reports upon upgrade and impacts reports in which the font was changed by the customer.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Revise the table preferences and set them as needed for your workflow.
