"Aborted Sample Set" in Action and a blank or missing user name in Empower Project Audit Trails - WKB198065

SYMPTOMS

  • Empower does not capture the username in the Audit Trail record for the cases below.
    • During acquisition, if a user presses the "Stop Flow " button on the instrument
    • During acquisition, the system flow is interrupted because of instrument errors like "Lost Prime" or "System over pressure"
  • In the Audit Trails Action, it shows Aborted Sample Set and Reason: User Aborted After Injection #1 Line # XX Sample set Aborted
  • When the instrument causes a failure, the user name is not recorded in the project audit trail.
  • There is no role for Equilibrate. Any injection function with an instrument failure will exhibit this behavior.

  • Empower 3.8.0.1

CAUSE

This behavior is recorded as CRI-2839.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Planned to be fixed in next Empower release. Behaviour is posted to www.waters.com
