SYMPTOMS
- The Purity function in Empower applies to both amount and response for an internal standard, even though there is no purity value specified for the internal standard
- The Purity field is completed only for the external standard, not the internal standard
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3 SR2
CAUSE
This is a defect, PCS 53903 and 51430. When purity value is specified for an external standard but not the internal standard, Empower incorrectly uses the external standard's purity value to correct the amount and concentration values for the internal standard.
FIX or WORKAROUND
This issue is fixed in Empower 3 Feature Release 3.
