Cannot run samples with Agilent LC 1260 in Empower - WKB18149

SYMPTOMS

• Can perform single injection with Agilent 1260 LC, but cannot run a sample set. 
• Instrument failure as soon as the sample set starts.
• Creating a new instrument method did not resolve the issue.
• No specific errors in message center besides instrument failure.
• Deleting the instrument and reconfiguring the instrument via the Agilent Pre-Configuration utility did not resolve the issue.
• This occurs when using a 66-vial plate. 

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Agilent LC 1260
• Agilent ICF 2.2 with A.02.04
• Agilent ICF 3.1
• Agilent Infinity II Vialsampler G7129A 
• Agilent Infinity II Vialsampler G7129B

CAUSE

There is no 66-vial plate type defined in run samples.

The plate configuration is not configured or uploaded into Empower.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Manually create the plate dimensions in Empower. To manually create plate types in Empower for Agilent LC, see WKB4268.

Starting in ICF 3.0, the driver contains the plate type for the 66-vial plate. You need to uploaded this into Empower and define it as a plate type. See WKB3619 for additional information.
