SYMPTOMS

  • Getting an Empower Review window plot message - Data Missing or Data Mismatch - from clients on the morning after the autumn time change back from daylight saving time
  • Data can normally be reviewed directly from the desktop of the Empower database server.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3

CAUSE

The Windows clocks on Empower database server, LAC/Es, and clients are not properly synchronized. The server clock may not be synchronized properly with a time server. Empower database server time may be 10 or more minutes slow, and LAC/E32s and clients may not be synchronized with the database server.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Synchronize all nodes Windows clocks and reboot nodes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Confirm that the raw data drive on the Empower database server has plenty of free space.
