Inconsistent extraction error when using Agilent 7697 Headspace and Empower - WKB1787

SYMPTOMS

• Getting an Agilent 7697 error in Empower - Inconsistent extraction error
• HS7697A: Inconsistent extractions. Number of injections in sample set method should match the number of extractions in instrument method

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• Agilent 7697 Headspace

CAUSE

• This error occurs when timing is not synchronized properly

FIX or WORKAROUND

• Set the GC cycle time to two minutes longer than the oven/run time setting
