Agilent LC model G7167B is not recognized in the PreConfiguration utility - WKB1612

SYMPTOMS

• With the G7167B powered-on or powered-off in the stack, there is a communication error in Empower
• The G7167B is not recognized in the PreConfiguration utility

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 SR1 FR2
• Agilent G7167B
• Agilent LC Driver 2.1.13.0404
• Agilent Rapid Control .NET [2.9] [6]
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework A.2.3 [99]
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework - LC Drivers A.2.11 [72]

CAUSE

The G7167B is configured for dual needle.

Agilent did not start supporting dual needle on the G7167B until A.02.03 DU2.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Upgrade to Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF) Support Version 2.2, which contains Agilent ICF Version A.02.03 DU2 (Driver Update 2) with ICF-LC Drivers Version A.02.13.
