ANSWER
A quick way to determine the type of busLACE card and its system capacity is through the serial number of the busLACE card itself.
A serial number in this format: A0000123 or B0000123, indicates an ISA board.
- The A indicates a multi (4) system capacity.
- The B indicates a single system capacity.
A serial number in the standard Waters format with BLM or BLS in the middle (A01BLM075T or A01BLS075T) indicates a PCI board.
- The M in the middle of the serial number indicates multi system capability.
- The S in the middle of the serial number indicates single system capability.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-
An older ISA type busLACE will not install on Win7 or Win XP computers.
-
You must use a PCI busLACE for Windows 7 and XP computers.
-
If a single system busLACE is in a computer, adding more system licenses will not add additional IEEE system capability. You will still be restricted to one IEEE based system.
