e-SAT/IN WinSock and "get data" errors with Empower - WKB14722

SYMPTOMS
- Random errors found while running a sample set in the message center Error: A failure occurred in reading the reply from Get Data within Is Data Available? The socket failed while waiting for incoming data and produced the following error code: WinSock Error # 0.
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 2 Feature Release 4 Driver 1.20
- Empower 3 Feature Release 4
CAUSE
All units should be at 3.2 or 2.6 firmware as the earlier versions have a number of vulnerabilities. Cabling or the e-SAT/IN may need replacement.
FIX or WORKAROUND
PCS: 43951, PCS 47656 Update to e-SAT/IN Module Instrument Control Software Version 1.30 Try swapping out the e-SAT/IN and cabling to troubleshoot.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The 2.6 firmware is for an older vintage boards prior to 2009, and 3.2 firmware is for newer boards from 2009 and after.
