Empower error: Failed to Start Application (Report Publisher) - WKB14443

SYMPTOMS

• Selecting a result and then selecting preview publisher results in an error: Failed to Start Application (Report Publisher)

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Client FR2 HF1

CAUSE

Operating system permissions issue with the Report Publisher application

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Find the Report Publisher application in c:\Empower>Bin>Report Publisher.exe.
3. Right-click the Report Publisher.exe file and select "Run as Administrator".
4. Reboot the client PC and open Preview Publisher.
