2414 RI and e2695: Sample Set pauses at Purge Detector line - WKB13498

SYMPTOMS

• Sample Set pauses at the Purge Detector line and does not proceed to the next line in the Sample Set

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• 2414 RI detector
• e2695 Alliance

CAUSE

PCS 51061 - For systems that include a 2414 detector, when you initiate a sample set that contains a Purge Detector function, and then close the Run Samples window, the sample set pauses after the Purge Detector function completes (see  PCS 51061 )

FIX or WORKAROUND

The Sample Set run resumes when you reopen Run Samples. Alternatively, to avoid this issue, do not close the Run Samples window when you have a Purge Detector line in the Sample Set.

If possible, configure your system to include only the e2695 and 2414 detector

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There is no indication that this is related to the firmware version.

• With 2.04 once under Empower control, the 2414 switches the mode to 410 automatically, and no way to revert.
• With 2.10 with the 2414 ICS loaded, the 2414 remains in RIU mode when selected.

 No published fix or timeline for either configuration.

• Not fixed in emulation mode (FW 2.04, 410 emulation).
• Not fixed in RIU mode (FW 2.10 + ICS driver).
• The same issue is seen with Purge Detector if there is a Purge Injector function.
