Run freezes in the middle of the run with the clock still counting, but data acquisition stops in Empower - WKB13566

SYMPTOMS

• Empower run freezes in the middle of the run with the run clock still counting but acquisition of data stops
• Creating a new instrument method and sample set method did not resolve the issue
• Creating a new project did not resolve the issue
• Instruments are communicating with Empower

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 SR2
• 2424 ELSD Detector
• 2695 Alliance

CAUSE

"Purge injector" is a line in the sample set. There is an issue with the purge injector function that was reported as PCS 53552. This issue was fixed in Empower 3 SR2 Hotfix 1

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Upgrade to Empower 3 SR2 Hotfix 1.
2. Workaround: Remove purge injector function from sample set.
