QDa diverter valve does not switch at requested time - WKB124610

SYMPTOMS

• When requesting the diverter valve to switch in an Empower instrument method, it does not switch

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector

CAUSE

Software problem

FIX or WORKAROUND

Insert a dummy SIR channel in the instrument method (for example, one that starts at 7.9 mins and stops at 8.1 mins). The valve should now switch to waste at 8 mins as requested on the instrument method events tab.
