SYMPTOMS
- Unable to lock method even though user has lock method privilege enabled and save method privilege disabled
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3
- Configuration Manager
- Privileges
- Method properties
CAUSE
This is expected behavior because lock method and save method privileges are linked. If a user doesn't have the following privileges, they are unable to lock the methods:
- Save Instrument Methods
- Save Processing Methods
- Save Reporting Methods
- Save Methods Sets
FIX or WORKAROUND
To lock Methods requires the save method privilege.
