Empower 3/1525 Binary HPLC Pump: How to inject using manual injector - WKB123622

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

• Perform injection with a manual injector with Empower 3/1525 Binary HPLC Pump

ENVIRONMENT

• 1525 Binary HPLC Pump
• 600 MultiSolvent Delivery Pump
• Manual Injector
• Empower 3

PROCEDURE

1. Weigh the sample into a syringe
2. Confirm that the lever is in the INJECT position, insert the syringe all the way into the injection port, and quickly switch the valve to the LOAD position.
3. Press the Inject button in Empower to wait for injection
- For Quick Start: Click the "Press to make a single injection" button in the Acquisition view, enter the required information, and then click "Inject".
- For Professional: After entering the required information on the "Single" tab of the Run Sample screen, click the "Inject" button.
4. Slowly push out the sample in the syringe and quickly switch the valve to the INJECT position without removing the syringe.
* A start signal is sent to the detector and the acquisition starts ( with the use of inject start I/O cable connected between the 1525 and associated detectors ).
5. Remove the syringe from the injection port. Do not move the valve until the next sample injection.
