SYMPTOMS

• When right-clicking on a sample set to select Process and specify “Use specified processing method”, a result set is generated with no results
• The message center error is "There are no channels specified to clear in method set. This is usually caused by not specifying an instrument method in the method set"
• If right-click on the channel to select Process and specify "Use specified processing method", the result is generated successfully

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• 2998 Detector, 2D channel for 1 channel acquisition, no 3D capture

CAUSE

The instrument method specified in the method set specified in the sample set is different from the one at the time of run.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Change the instrument method of the method set specified in the sample set to the instrument method at the time of run. Overwrite and save, and then perform processing.
