SYMPTOMS

• Sample set stuck in "setting up"
• Sample set runs the first injection of the set, but does not move on to the second injection
• The injection timer continues counting up past the method end time and does not progress to the second injection

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

An additional detector is in the instrument configuration but is not part of the instrument method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove from the instrument configuration any modules that are not being used.
2. Configuration manager > System > right-click "system properties".
3. Drag any unused components to the left-hand side and click OK.
