In Empower, Alter Sample produces a new Sample Set ID (SSID) with new audit trail; is this a defect? - WKB11038

Article number: 11038

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3.
  • Alter Sample window.
  • Sample set Level custom field.

ANSWER

When you modify and save a value for a sample set Level custom field, or when you rename a sample set by selecting Edit > Rename Sample Set, the Alter Sample function creates a new sample set with a new sample set ID and a new audit trail. This is the intended behavior and is not a defect.
