System Idle message showing in Empower after changing systems within Configure System - WKB10858

SYMPTOMS

• System Idle message
• ACQUITY QDa showing communication error in console
• ACQUITY QDa not showing ready LEDs on hardware
• Found: System rebooted, powering instruments on including QDa before PC is turned on
• Found: QDa status light blinking orange

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• ACQUITY QDa (QDa)
• Alliance 2695
• Waters 2998 Photo Diode Array (PDA)

CAUSE

QDa is powered on before the PC

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Power off QDa, wait 30 seconds.
2. Power QDa back on.
