In the Waters DHCP configuration window, the "Type" column is missing for ACQUITY SM-FTN and ACQUITY UPLC RI detector - WKB10860

SYMPTOMS

• The Type and Name columns are missing from the Waters DHCP Server Configuration window for some instruments
• IP and MAC addresses are present
• Removing IP addresses and rebooting the instruments does not resolve the issue
• All components are present for other Ethernet-controlled instruments
• Module is recognized with correct type in AutoLoader.exe

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• ACQUITY UPLC RI Detector
• ACQUITY Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle (SM-FTN)
• MassLynx

CAUSE

Possible corruption of instrument control software/drivers

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove all instrument control software/drivers. 
2. Reinstall only the necessary instrument control software for the components.
3. Reboot the computer.
4. Remove IP addresses from DHCP Service.
5. Reboot instruments. Confirm that types appear in DHCP Service.
