How to configure Shimadzu plates in Empower - WKB10314

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Configure Shimadzu plates in Empower software.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 2 FR5 or later
• Shimadzu LC
• Thermo Fisher ICS 5000

PROCEDURE

1. Select Plate Types from the left-hand tree in the Configuration Manager.
2. Select Import from Text.
3. Browse to the Supplements\Plate\Eng folder on the installation CD and specify the text file of the sample rack to "Plate Type Definition Import File".
4. Specify the New Plate Name as listed in the table in the Installation Manual, and then click OK.
5. Verify that the rack name is displayed in the Plate Types view.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each sample rack.
