■ Cable routing on the rears
Connect the red and black cables on the rear of the valve to the green terminal, Switch(Out)③④ on the rear of QDa.
If needed, you can insert two cables at a time into where cables are inserted one by one from the rear of the valve, and insert one + on the rear of the valve into QDa① and the other into QDa③,
and insert one from the Grand on the rear of the valve into QDa② and the other into QDa④. This makes the liquid go to the Waste as soon as it turns into Standby.

■ Plumbing on the front of Waters Switching Valve (2-position 6-port valve)
If the flow path turns into the opposite one to the expected when switching the valve position, change the ports. For example, if you are using ports 1, 2, 3, use ports 2, 3, 4 instead.

■ Instrument method settings
On the QDa Events tab, set the following:
* With the following settings, the operation will be:
Run start to 2 min: To the Waste
After 2 min: To QDa
* QDa event setting is not executed unless data acquisition is performed at the set time, you need to set a function to acquire at the set time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

■ What to do if the above settings do not work

① Check if the Waters Switching Valve is in the Remote state
If you press a blue arrow button on the front of the valve and the displayed numbers change,
you are not currently in the Remote mode (Manual Control mode).
In that case, press the white square button between the blue arrow buttons to change to Remote mode.
If you press a blue arrow button and the displayed numbers does not change, you are currently in Remote mode.
(It can also be determined by switching the LED next to the white square button).
If the run from Empower is not performed in the Remote state, try to run in the Remote state.
During the run from Empower, ensure that the displayed numbers change after 2 minutes.

② Check the flow path by the position of Waters Switching Valve
If the numbers change but no peaks are detected, put the valve in Manual mode once and if any number is displayed,
check if it flows to the QDa side.
Start the flow with the tube on the valve side removed, which connects from QDa to valve, switch the valve, and check if the liquid flows when any number is displayed.
Next, reconnect the tubes, confirm and set the numbers displayed when it is turned on/off in the Events settings of the instrument method.
