ANSWER

We do not recommend this. The nanoEase MZ column with ZenFit will technically work with a nanoViper port. However, because the fittings from Waters and Thermo are slightly different in tolerances and nominal sizes, we have heard about problems with ZenFit on Thermo equipment. The Waters fitting is expanding in the Thermo port so the fitting tip can get stuck in the port. This happened only on a few occasions, but the customer should be made aware of this possibility.

A stuck fitting is a time consuming and costly failure. We recommend using nanoViper tubing to connect the Thermo LC to the Waters nanoTee or union and only Waters columns or Traps to the Tee or Union. This works reasonably well because the nanoViper fitting is slightly smaller than the port in the Tee or Union.
