Why am I able to detect AccQ•Tag derivatized S-allylcysteine with fluroescence but another lab cannot detect it underivatized with fluorescence? - WKB106978

Article number: 106978

ENVIRONMENT

  • Amino acid analysis
  • AccQ•Tag
  • S-allylcysteine
  • HPLC
  • UPLC

ANSWER

S-allylcysteine does not have a structure that is detected by fluorescence. Many amino acid structures are not detectable by fluorescence or UV without derivatization.
